The concept of the circular economy is gaining global attention as a sustainable development strategy aimed at reducing resource consumption and minimizing waste and emissions by keeping materials in use for as long as possible.

This report emphasizes the importance of the circular economy in decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation, particularly for Central Asia.

It presents three Circular Economy Action Plans (CEAPs) tailored for the region: one for the construction value chain in Kazakhstan, another for the agri-food sector in Uzbekistan, and a plan for financing and delivering the circular economy in Almaty.
