Haiti: USAID Water and Sanitation Project - Climate Risk Management Case Study

Organisation:
United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

The USAID Water and Sanitation Project supports the people of Haiti by strengthening the technical and operational capacity of communal utilities and private purveyors of water and sanitation services. The project’s goal is to increase access to safe, sustainable water and sanitation services with a view to mitigating cholera and other waterborne illnesses.

This case study describes the project’s climate risk management actions in the country's vulnerable urban and ex-urban areas, focusing on the benefits that can be quantified, and where possible, monetized.
