This training package developed by the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) is for facilitators to use in courses to help climate and development professionals integrate gender perspectives into climate projects and programmes. It aims to help course participants understand internationally accepted and widely committed frameworks for gender equality in development and climate action, and understand why gender and social inclusion are relevant to climate policies, programmes and activities.
The package of presentations and exercises consists of six modules: international and national frameworks; why a gender approach is needed; assessing people’s climate risks and resilience; assess options for and plan gender-responsive, socially-inclusive climate solutions; commit equity responsive budget; and implement projects and programmes inclusively.
