This online course aims to empower policy-makers, infrastructure planners and investors to understand the economic and financial performance of nature-based infrastructure (NbI) as well as its co-benefits in comparison with “built” or “grey” infrastructure.
The course consists of five thematic modules, namely:
- Introduction to nature-based infrastructure
- Infrastructure planning and NBI
- Systems thinking and system dynamics models for NBI
- Climate data and spatial modelling for NBI
- Financing NBI
The course will also illustrate how to make a case for investing in and maintaining NBI. With this knowledge, it is expected that policymakers, infrastructure planners and investors will be better equipped to make informed decisions about infrastructure investments and climate adaptation.
