Location :
Paris, France

On 7-9 April 2020, the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) will hold the 14th Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains in Paris, France. The Forum will address implementation challenges and showcase new supply chain due diligence approaches. A particular focus will be on how to avoid de-risking by companies that might decide to exclude perceived high-risk regions or production modes, such as artisanal and small-scale mining, from their supply chains. Other key themes include using the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains as a tool for risk prioritisation and how it links with other international instruments that address issues or risks outside the immediate scope of Annex II, the need for stepping up risk prevention and mitigation as well as due diligence for corruption and security risks in the mineral supply chain.
