14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands

On 21-29 November 2022, the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP14) to the Convention on Wetlands will take place in Wuhan, China.

The Convention on Wetlands, also known as the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, is an intergovernmental treaty that provides the framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. There are currently 172 parties to the convention.

COP14 aims to reaffirm the convention’s mission to ensure the conservation and wise use of all wetlands through local and national actions and international cooperation, as a contribution towards achieving sustainable development throughout the world.
