Green Fiscal Reform: Protecting our Natural Resources for a Sustainable Future

Sydney, Australia
September 23-26, 2015

The 16th Global Conference on Environmental Taxation (GCET 16) is to be held from 23-26 September 2015 in Sydney, Australia.  The theme for the conference is 'Green Fiscal Reform: Protecting our Natural Resources for a Sustainable Future' .  GCET is the leading global forum for exchanges on the principles and practices of environmental taxation and other market-based instruments relevant for greening of the economy and a more sustainable development. Research presented at the previous fifteen conferences has helped provide a much stronger theoretical and empirical underpinning of the legal, economic and behavioural issues in this area. These conferences are not intended to advance any particular environmental agenda on an advocacy basis but rather to advance knowledge, understanding and debate.

GCET has announced a call for abstracts (deadline April 30th) 2015.  Selected papers from the Global Conferences are published in Critical Issues in Environmental Taxation.

The conference this year will be hosted by the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney.  If you have questions, please send them to gcet16 [at] catalystevents.com.au (gcet16[at]catalystevents[dot]com.au).
