On 30 September 2020 - 2 October 2020, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and the City of Mannheim is hosting 9th European Conference on Cities and Towns: Mannheim2020 online.
The 9th European Conference on Cities and Towns will bring together local and regional leaders, European and international institutions, businesses and the civil society to forge a more sustainable Europe.
Held every three years, the conference is the multi-level interface between the European Union and sustainability action at local level. It offers cities and urban stakeholders a platform for action and to accelerate the ambition of global frameworks for sustainability and climate change.
This year’s programme will feature key plenary speakers and breakout sessions, with a focus, among other topics, on how a European Green Deal can become an opportunity for change, the social and environmental impacts of digitalization, and local and global perspectives for new economic models.
