Africa Regional Multi-stakeholder Consultation for Stockholm+50

On 12-13 April (09:00-11:30 UTC+3, Nairobi), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will host online the Africa Regional Multi-stakeholder Consultation for Stockholm+50. This is the third of a series of regional consultations, organized with the help of GO4SDGs, in the run-up to the Stockholm+50 international conference on 2-3 June 2022.

Stockholm+50 is an open forum where interested parties are invited to share their experiences and initiatives to help to rebuild trust and cooperation for a healthy planet. This Africa regional consultation is open to all major groups, the private sector, all government representatives, and other stakeholders (accredited or not accredited by UNEP/ECOSOC). 

This consultation will focus on the following working groups:

  • Regeneration: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all
  • Recovery and rebalance: Achieving sustainable and inclusive recovery through the African Green Stimulus Programme (AGSP)
  • Renewal: Cooperation and finance to accelerate action
  • Sustainable agri-food systems: Safeguarding productivity and ensuring access for all
  • Circular economy: Scaling up action in high-impact sectors
