On 4-5 April (09:00-11:30 UTC+7, Bangkok), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will host online the Asia and the Pacific Regional Multi-stakeholder Consultation for Stockholm+50. This is the first of a series of regional consultations, organized with the help of GO4SDGs, in the run-up to the Stockholm+50 international conference on 2-3 June 2022.
Stockholm+50 is an open forum where interested parties are invited to share their experiences and initiatives to help to rebuild trust and cooperation for a healthy planet. This Asia and the Pacific regional consultation is open to all major groups, the private sector, all government representatives and other stakeholders (accredited or not accredited by UNEP/ECOSOC).
This consultation will focus on the following working groups:
- End plastic pollution for a healthy planet and well-being
- Sustainable food systems for an inclusive recovery
- Regeneration: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all
- Recovery and rebalance: A sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic
- Renewal: Accelerating the implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development
