On 6 February 2018 (10:30-12:30 CET), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is hosting a presentation of the recently published book Green Industrial Policy: Concept, Policies, Country Experiences by Dr. Tilman Altenburg at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France.
Dr Tilman Altenburg’s research shows that ‘green industrial policy’ is the way forward. Drawing on the recently-published report Green Industrial Policy - Concept, Policies, Country Experiences, produced by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) in partnership with the German Development Institute (DIE) within the framework of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), Dr Altenburg will explore policy options for managing structural change that accounts for both challenges in a harmonised way. After providing an up-to-date overview of the debate on green industrial policy, the presentation will delve into what countries can gain economically from pursuing environmental integrity, and what policy options are available to accelerate the transformation in ways that enhance well-being and environmental sustainability together.
