On 15 May 2024 (15:00-16:00 CEST), the World Resources Institute will host the webinar Bridge Building in Baku: Towards a transformative climate finance goal.
The webinar will address critical discussions surrounding the climate finance agenda leading up to COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. It aims to unpack key elements of the new finance goal, known as the "new collective quantified goal" (NCQG), which will be negotiated at COP29, and offer a deeper understanding of the challenges and choices facing negotiators, including the goal's size, scope and contributions from different countries.
It will also explore how this new finance goal fits into broader multilateral financial reform efforts and its implications for enhancing developing countries' confidence in increasing their climate ambitions.
