On 6 Nov 2021, the Chatham House, Trade, Development & the Environment Hub (GCRF TRADE Hub), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Forum on Trade, Environment & the SDGs (TESS), are convening a high-level dialogue at COP26 on how trade and trade policy can support nature positive climate action and sustainable development.
Speakers will address three key themes:
• Multilateral approaches and the role of international organisations.
• Opportunities for trade ministers to support action on climate mitigation and adaptation
• Stakeholder perspectives on opportunities to align climate and trade agendas and strategies to build cooperation.
Invited speakers include trade ministers from developed and developing countries, the executive heads of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Trade Center (ITC), and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), and representatives of leading business and civil society organisations.
