On 1-12 November 2021, the EU is hosting a number of side events at the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow. The programme will include in-person events as well as virtual participation opportunities, convening party delegates and partners to set in motion dialogue on key thematic areas.
The side events will address major themes considered critical to climate development and resilience. Key organizations from each sector plan to present on lessons learned, policy tools and future frameworks to better navigate and strengthen the global chain of climate partnerships that continuously work to enable new initiatives and practices.
Organizers will address the following themes:
- Science, technology, research and innovation
- Regional perspectives and international partnerships, local actors
- Climate and sustainable finance/carbon markets
- Energy transition
- Circular economy, sustainable industry
- Agriculture, land use, forestry
- Adaptation and resilience/cities
- European Green Deal, climate-neutrality, just transition
- Citizens, youth, gender
- Sustainable transport
