Overview
Aligning with the COP29 Priority on ‘Shifting Attitudes Towards Global Climate Response’, UNEP, through the 10YFP GO4SDGs and the Faith for Earth Coalition will be convening the network in this high-level discussion on Sustainable Lifestyles for Climate Action.
This session will focus on faith values and spirituality as a means to significantly shift attitudes and behaviours to address the triple environmental planetary crisis. In particular, highlighting institutional support from faith-based organisations to meet technical capacity needs and other opportunities to implement UNEA Resolution UNEP/EA.6/Res.8 - Promoting sustainable lifestyles.
This event will explore the relationship between faith and sustainable living and their impact on climate change and behavioural change, the critical role of interfaith engagement in global policy spaces and high impact sectors (e.g. food), and map out the roadmap under the Resolution.
