The Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) is pleased to announce a virtual report launch, open to all, covering the “Digital solutions for climate action: using ICT to raise ambitions on climate action in low- and middle-income countries” report on Monday 26 October at 14:00 to 15:00 CEST. The report is supported by BMU, facilitated by GiZ, and implemented by GeSI.
The report sets out in detail how low- and middle-income countries can leverage Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to support ambitions on climate action and achieve Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) goals.
The report also presents mitigation and adaptation potentials that can be achieved with digital technologies by 2030 for seven countries (Brazil, Chile, China, India, Kenya, South Africa, and Vietnam) across four sectors:
- Power
- Transport
- Manufacturing and construction
- Agriculture
The report launch will feature a presentation of the findings and a high-level panel discussion with key stakeholders. The launch will conclude with a Question and Answer session.
