On 29 November 2023 (15:00-01:00 CET/08:00-18:00 EST), the World Bank, together with George Washington University and the University of Virginia, will hold a conference on the economics of sustainable development.
The conference aims to bring together academics and development economics practitioners to present and discuss pressing questions relating to sustainable development. This theme is central to the World Bank’s mission of tackling poverty.
Topics covered will include biodiversity and forests, the economics of natural resources and pollution. There will also be a particular focus on issues related to Africa.
