Regular face-to-face conferences and workshops of the network will be complemented by a knowledge-sharing web-based platform. This new network will build on other key green growth knowledge efforts, including the Green Growth Knowledge Platform. The initiative aims to respond to the needs of its members, covering a broad range of green growth issues, such as the economic modeling of energy and climate policy; carbon pricing--emissions trading schemes and carbon taxes; economic aspects of environmental protection--green taxes, regulations, and property rights; sustainable use of natural resources--land and minerals, water, air, and ecosystems; energy sector modeling; valuing natural capital: environmental accounts and ecosystem services; adaptation to a changing climate--water and weather; green technologies, jobs, and exports; and green growth and climate action national development strategies.
A variety of types of interactions and knowledge sharing are under consideration, including technical training on analytic methods; dealing with practical implementation challenges; and watching the horizon for emerging topics to come.
