On 5-6 September 2024, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and UNFCCC Secretariat will host the Fifth Global Conference on Strengthening Synergies between the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The event will bring together representatives of UN Member States, UN agencies, civil society, the private sector and other stakeholders to assess progress made on a set of key recommendations from the previous global conferences.
The conference will result in a summary with a set of recommendations for enhancing synergistic implementation of the SDGs and climate action at both political and practical levels and a set of empirical evidence on the co-benefits of the SDGs and climate action.
