Royal Academy of Engineering

On 2-12 November 2020, the Royal Academy of Engineering will organise the Frontiers of Development symposium on 'Building Resilience'.
Our current use of resources is not sustainable, resilient, or easily adaptable to new or alternative modes of use. Further, it is inequitably distributed both geographically and societally.
Frontiers of Development is a series of interdisciplinary symposia bringing together the best early to mid-career researchers from industry, academia, NGOs, and government in multidisciplinary workshops that address fundamental development challenges centering on the SDGs. Events will bring peers of all nationalities together, from across the globe.
The symposium will be formulated around a selection of broad topics grounded in development challenges, and structured to facilitate the building of networks across broad multi-disciplinary communities. Seed funding will be available for participants who wish to collaborate on research projects.
