On 4 December 2023 (16:30-18:00 CET), the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) will organize a roundtable that will discuss the future of global governance.
The session will focus on how Europe stacks up to major powers outside the continent - the United States, and China and the other BRICS nations - when it comes to tackling such problems as climate change, pandemics, migration, inequalities and artificial intelligence.
Participants will ask to what extent is there still scope for universal multilateral cooperation, for instance in the UN, or should the focus be on such informal institutions as the G7 and G20.
