On 11 January 2019 (1:15-2:00 PM CET), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is holding a workshop on Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, and the Shift to Green Growth – Making it happen at the PAGE Ministerial Conference 2019 - Advancing Inclusive and Sustainable Economies.
Overview
Ensuring that the green economy transition delivers poverty reduction, gender equality, and social inclusion requires deliberate strategy. How can we effectively leverage social inclusion in green growth planning, policy and investments?
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and partners are building experience on how green growth can benefit all and challenge structural barriers to equal opportunities.
The event panelists will share their visions and approaches to inclusive green growth. The event will also serve to premiere GGGI’s short film, Green Growth for Gender Equality: Promoting Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion. The film discusses development progress made in recent decades, identifies the still present challenges in securing socially inclusive development, and highlights the services GGGI delivers around the world to help deliver gender inclusive green growth.
