On 15 September 2022, the Global Landscapes Forum will host the GLF Africa Digital Conference, an online event bringing together thousands of leaders, scientists, innovators, grassroots actors, youth and financiers who have the tools to drive action at scale.
Featuring leading change-makers, voices and thinkers from across Africa and the rest of the world, GLF Africa will demonstrate the power of community-led action for food security, drought management and healthy ecosystems.
The conference will provide a platform to connect local land champions with actors in transformative industries and key disciplines to build sustainable food systems and resilient livelihoods and landscapes.
The GLF Africa Digital Conference will aim to:
- Map pathways for food security and sovereignty through a food systems transition and agriculture that works with nature and for communities.
- Inspire innovative partnerships by building bridges across African initiatives in agriculture, restoration, creative industries, media, and sustainable finance.
- Provide guidance on effective policies, investments, and new social norms that ensure the equitable governance of land tenure.
- Identify best practices, blueprints and successful models to promote youth and women’s leadership
