On 22 September 2025 (13:30–16:00 CEST), the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) will host an event to explore how Europe can navigate the complex restructuring of global value chains (GVCs) in the wake of recent global crises.
The event will unpack how shifts in GVCs affect jobs, competitiveness and the environment in Europe. It will also explore the social and economic impacts of reshoring and other restructuring strategies, along with the implications for EU trade policy.
Through evidence from the TWIN SEEDS project, participants will discuss practical ways to secure Europe’s resilience, competitiveness and inclusivity in a changing global economy.
