On 14-16 March 2018, the GLOBE Series is hosting the the GLOBE Forum 2018 and Innovation Expo in Vancouver, Canada.
Every two years, the GLOBE Forum and Innovation Expo brings together corporations, all levels of government, NGOs, international agencies, technology innovators, and the finance community to manage risks and capitalize on the opportunities in the clean economy.
This year's theme is ‘Disrupting Business As Usual’. It is broken down into the following tracks:
- Business and Competitiveness
- Cities and Infrastructure
- Energy and Technology
- Materials and Resources
- Finance and Investment
- Policy and Trade
This year's sub-theme is 'The State of our Oceans', highlithing the role business, government, and civil society can play to protect them.
The Innovation Expo showcases the latest in clean technologies, focused on the following Innovation Technology Clusters:
- Smart Grid/Micro-Grid
- Sustainable Mobility
- Smart/High Performing Buildings
- Water Innovation
- Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS)
The GLOBE Forum also includes the Emerging Leaders Forum, ‘an event within an event’. The Forum hosts nearly 200 environmentally and sustainably-minded Canadian students and professionals who are 35 and under. Participants will catalyze action on environmental, social, and economic issues that are critical to attaining a sustainable future for Canada and the world.
