On 4 October 2018 (12:30PM-2:00PM GMT+7), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is holding the "Greening Industry Through Green Growth Programs" side event at the 5th Green Industry Conference for Sustainable Development in Bangkok, Thailand.
This side event will demonstrate how promoting green industrial practices through enabling policies, financial mechanisms and initiatives can contribute to green growth with country experiences and lessons learned from Viet Nam and Thailand.
It will also feature a presentation on the forthcoming Green Industry Platform, which will help drive the 'Green Industry revolution' by showcasing the latest knowledge, tools, data, best practices, technologies and more to enable and support businesses to green their operations, processes and products by using resources more efficiently; transitioning to renewable energy sources; phasing out toxic substances; and improving occupational health and safety at the industrial level. It will also help support the establishment and expansion of new green industries that deliver environmental goods and services, including services and technologies for material recovery, recycling, and waste treatment and management, as well as environmental and energy consulting and services.
