On 8 September 2022 (08:30-10:00 ICT), the Global Program on Sustainability (GPS) is hosting a webinar on Improving Natural Capital Management in Lao PDR.
Natural capital is a major component of Lao PDR’s total wealth and is an important component of the country's economy and source of employment for approximately a third of the labour force. Yet, natural capital is being depleted, posing a significant challenge to achieving poverty reduction and sustainable development objectives.
This GPS webinar will discuss the value of Laos’ natural capital and its contribution to the economy, strategies to maximize the potential of Laos’ natural resources, and government efforts to manage environmental data to support decision-making.
