Innovation for Construction: From life-cycle analysis to a low-carbon built environment

On 27 November 2024 (10:30-12:45 CET), the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) will host Innovation for Construction: From life-cycle analysis to a low-carbon built environment.

The workshop will explore innovative strategies needed to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment, with a focus on materials used in construction and the long-term sustainability of buildings. 

The event will also look at the potential for reducing carbon through a neighbourhood-level perspective, rather than focusing on individual buildings alone. Through case studies, research findings and practical solutions, the session will discuss how the construction sector can balance economic security, competitiveness and decarbonization goals.
