On 25-27 June 2018, the International Copper Association, Alfred P.Sloan Foundation, Research Into Action, University of Geneva are hosting International Energy Policy & Programme Evaluation Conference (IEPPEC) in Vienna, Austria.
Policies and programmes for energy efficiency and climate mitigation are ranked as top priorities by the EU, IEA and UN to help the world face the critical issues of climate change and resource conservation. This focus has resulted in growing investment into energy efficiency and low carbon measures.
There is therefore a need to improve the assessment of potential and actual impacts of these measures. To address this issue, IEPPEC provides a platform to share and learn the experience and lessons from high-quality evaluation practices.
Since 2010, four conferences have been held in Europe: in 2010 (Paris), in 2012 (Rome), in 2014 (Berlin), and in 2016 (in Amsterdam). The last two events attracted between 150 and 200 participants, from nearly 30 countries. The participants mostly came from Europe and North America, but also from Brazil, China, Japan, Korea and South Africa.
