In the lead up to Stockholm+50, UNEP, with the support of GO4SDGs, has coordinated five multi-stakeholder regional consultations engaging over 2,000 participants. Some of the key priorities identified are: changing consumption and production patterns, scaling up circularity, the need for sustainable finance to enable a healthy planet and prosperity for all, and the important role of SME’s. Green Jobs for Youth Pact – 2 June, 9:30- 10:45 (CET)
100 million jobs worldwide could be created in sustainable energy and circular economy by 2030, but this requires investments in upskilling and reskilling. The ambition of the joint ‘Green Jobs for Youth Pact’ of ILO, UNEP, and UNICEF, is to contribute to a just transition to a low-carbon and circular economy supporting to solve the triple planetary crisis. This meeting convenes key stakeholders discussing next steps in securing green jobs for youth, leading up to the Pact’s launch at COP27. Agenda here

Financing circularity for a green recovery – 3 June, 13:00-14:15 (CET)
Countries, companies, and institutions around the globe are embracing circular approaches to accelerate the shift to sustainable consumption and production patterns. The financial sector is essential to scale up financing for circularity. This event will bring together financial institutions, development banks, UN Agencies, and other partners to share insights, initiatives, and best practices on financing circularity and its potential for a sustainable recovery and green jobs generation. MULTISTAKEHOLDER ACTION HUB ON SUSTAINABLE VALUE CHAINS
Sustainable Living within 1.5-degrees: innovative pathways to live better and lighter, 2 June, 17:30-18:30 (CET)
Evidence shows that all economies have to adjust lifestyles and consumption levels to live below a 1.5-degree global rise in temperature. We need to re-think how we eat, move, live and choose to spend our time and resources. This event explores how our future lifestyles need to change. SMEs: Gamechangers from Global to Local Actions towards Sustainability, 2 June, 10.30-11.45 (CET)
Global awareness of the triple planetary crisis resulting from unsustainable consumption and production patters is growing, as well as the private sectors potential to address them. The growing success of green entrepreneurs and SMEs shows the potential of a transformative and collective impact.
