From 18 to 22 July 2022, the UNFCCC will host Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week 2022 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The meeting will explore resilience against climate risks, the transition to a low-emission economy and collaboration to solve pressing challenges. It is an important step on the road to COP27 and an opportunity for regional stakeholders to address social inequalities and invest in economic development that is good for humanity and nature.
The event is organized by UN Climate Change in collaboration with global partners United Naitons Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank Group. Partners in the region include the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC), the CAF–Development Bank of Latin America and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
