On 5-6 April (09:00-11:30 UTC-5, Panama), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will host online the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Multi-Stakeholder Consultation for Stockholm+50. This is the second of a series of regional consultations in the run-up to the Stockholm+50 international conference on 2-3 June 2022, organized with the help of GO4SDGs.
Stockholm+50 is an open forum where interested parties are invited to share their experiences and initiatives to help to rebuild trust and cooperation for a healthy planet. This Latin America and Caribbean regional consultation is open to all major groups, the private sector, all government representatives and other stakeholders (accredited or not accredited by UNEP/ECOSOC).
This consultation will focus on the following working groups:
- Regeneration: A healthy planet for the prosperity of all
- Recovery and rebalance: ‘Reset’
- Renewal: Cooperation to accelerate action
- Small Island Developing States (SIDS) for Stockholm+50
- Circularity
- Financing sustainability
