On 20 October 2020 (16:00 -22:00 CET), WWF is hosting Nature-Based Solutions; Global challenges, greener futures.
In the face of the ongoing climate crisis, there is an urgent need to identify and scale-up solutions that work with nature rather than against it. In recent years, Nature-based Solutions have been put forward as a way to address the climate crisis and associated socio-economic challenges.
This event aims to take a deep dive into the science of Nature-based Solutions to highlight opportunities within the conservation space. It will bring together scientists to discuss the potential benefits and limitations for people and nature, while examining specific case studies, identifying outstanding questions in this field, and considering how WWF can implement and scale Nature-based Solutions in a post-COVID world.
