CITES Nineteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP19)

On 14-25 November 2022, Panama will host will host the 19th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES COP19)

The Conference of the Parties meets every two to three years to review the implementation of the convention, including reviewing progress in the conservation of species included in the convention's appendices and to recommend measures to improve the effectiveness of the convention.

Meetings of the Conference of the Parties are attended not only by CITES parties, but also by observers, including representatives of multilateral and non-governmental organizations involved in conservation or trade.
