On 17 June from 15.00-17.00 EDT, the Organization of American States will host the 59th OAS Policy Roundtable on “Policy Dialogues on Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities for the Americas”.
This space for dialogue will encourage the exchange of experiences to address various issues related to climate change adaptation strategies and its mitigation.
This event will include the participation of senior international climate change experts and high-ranking OAS officials. The OAS Department of Sustainable Development, through the Energy and Climate Partnership of the America (ECPA) is supporting this roundtable.
The OAS Policy Roundtable Series seeks to link the best in policy thinking to the actions of the OAS in its Permanent Council and General Secretariat through promoting an informed dialogue between policy analysts, practitioners and diplomatic dialogue. The OAS, through activities of this nature, and its inter-American System, intends to serve as a means to facilitate a structured dialogue to advance the human dimension of development.
The Roundtable will be broadcasted live via Webcast to facilitate remote participation and to encourage participants throughout the region to formulate questions to the participating speakers. For more information on how to join this event via Webcast, please visit www.oas.org, or contact Rosangela Arbieto ([email protected]). The program for the event can be accessed here.
