On 27 November 2022 (14:00 - 15:15 CEST), the Circle Economy, International Labour Organization and Or Foundation will host a side event at the World Circular Economy Forum on social justice in a global circular economy.
The online event will focus on how governments and multilateral organizations can tackle environmental challenges in a way that promotes decent jobs and secure livelihoods for all. The session will engage stakeholders on key messages of the latest paper from Circle Economy's Circular Jobs Initiative, which highlights the role of three key levers to address the oversights and assumptions of prevailing narratives on the circular economy, related to power, trade and technology.
Some of the speakers include: Casper Edmonds (Head of Unit Extractives, Energy and Manufacturing, Sectoral Policies Department, ILO), Elizabeth Ricketts (Co-founder & Director of the Or Foundation) and Yasmina Lembachar (Researcher, Circle Economy).
