
How do we achieve prosperity for all on a healthy planet through inclusive green economy approaches?
Following on the First Global PAGE Conference held in Dubai in 2014, the PAGE Ministerial 2017 aimed to raise the awareness of governments and of the public concerning the urgency of advancing towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide, and the opportunities presented by the shift to an inclusive and green economy for achieving prosperity for all on a safe planet.
The conference was organized around high-level debates and exchanges, thematic sessions and multi-sector engagement, the conference had a special focus on green investments, sustainable lifestyles, and inclusive and sustainable economic growth, including full employment.
It emphasized the universality of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the ample scope of action for business, civil society and governments to seize and benefit from the transformative force of the SDGs and climate targets.
Participants included ministers, business leaders, high-level representatives of trade unions, civil society groups, academia and the media to focus on the central question of how to advance sustainable and inclusive growth, fostering equity and innovation. Over 300 participants attended.
