Partnership Dialogue on Climate Change

TO
Location :
Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands.

On 22-23 July 2018, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and NDC Partnership is hosting the Partnership Dialogue on Climate Change in Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands.

The event will focus on the implementation of the country’s existing 2025 Nationally Determined Contribution and the development of its 2050 Strategy. The Partnership Dialogue will create a space where existing and new global, regional, and local partners can come together in a collective effort to support the Marshall Islands in responding to climate change and to implement its climate policies and commitments. Attendees will comprise working-level officials from national aid agencies, development banks, as well as technological and service providers. The Dialogue will also showcase the potential of the Marshall Islands to act as a lighthouse to other countries regionally and globally – including through its convening of the High Ambition Coalition and its incoming chairmanship of the Climate Vulnerable Forum – to enhance their NDCs and to adopt transformational 2050 Strategies with a net zero vision.

If you plan to attend, kindly register with Ellen Milne, NDC Partnership technical assistant in Majuro ([email protected]), with copy to Ralien Bekkers at the Support Unit of the Partnership ([email protected]) and Thom Woodroofe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade ([email protected]). An agenda and logistical note will be shared shortly, along with a specific NDC Partnership support request.
