On 15 November 2024, (16:30-18:00 CET), the World Resources Institute (WRI) will host the COP29 side event Pathways to Affordable Finance for Africa’s Energy Transition: Insights from African Energy Dialogues.
The event will present findings from the African Energy Dialogues (AED) on key areas vital for Africa’s energy future, focusing on finance and investment, technology and infrastructure, and enabling policies and regulations. Designed to support African countries in advancing sustainable and inclusive energy access, this session will explore challenges, opportunities and solutions in Africa’s energy sector.
Highlights include a moderated panel discussion with policymakers, investors, energy experts, civil society leaders and researchers offering actionable insights to drive Africa’s journey toward a resilient and equitable energy transition.
