On April 28 The Basel Convention Regional Centre for Training and Technology Transfer for the Caribbean (BCRC-Caribbean) hosted the Private Sector Technology Fair.
The aim of the event was to foster and strengthen regional communication, engagement and knowledge transfer between private and public stakeholders in the ISLANDS project countries. The technology fair presented a platform to garner interest and identify the potential investment opportunities for private sector agencies and stakeholders. Furthermore, the fair highlighted the role of the private sector in the project as it pertains to the establishment of effective circular and life-cycle management systems through private sector partnerships to prevent the build-up of harmful materials and chemicals.
