On 9 September 2024 (14:00-15:30 CEST), the World Resources Institute (WRI) will host the webinar Reaching Net Zero: The Power of Aligning NDCs with Long-term Strategies.
The webinar will bring together leading experts from Australia, Brazil, Indonesia and South Africa to discuss the urgent need for more ambitious national climate commitments, known as nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
It will also explore how these countries are crafting next-generation NDCs that align with their long-term climate plans, driving the necessary economy-wide transformations to reduce emissions and keep the 1.5°C target within reach.
