On 13-14 October 2020, UNEP, GIZ and IMF with the support of the Green Fiscal Policy Network (GFPN) and UN ECLAC are organising a technical workshop for Latin America and the Caribeean on green fiscal policies.
The workshop entitled "Role of green fiscal policies in a COVID-19 recovery: experience, best practice and next steps in Latin America and the Caribbean" aims at supporting public health efforts, decreasing environmental and climate change risks, and reinforcing resilience to future crises by taking into account inclusive and sustainable socio-economic aspects in national economic planning.
The workshop will gather policy makers and experts from the governments in the LAC region with experts from international organizations, think tanks and academic institutions.
