The UN Environment Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) hosting its second round of Regional Roundtables (RRTs) on Sustainable Finance in 2019 to provide an opportunity for members and actors in the sustainable finance community to come together locally to discuss the latest trends and innovations, and share good practice.
The Regional Roundtable for Sustainable Finance in Asia Pacific will take place on 5-6 June 2019 in Shanghai, China. The event is co-organised with the Shanghai Lujiazui Financial City Council Green Finance Development Committee (GFDC) and in collaboration with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and Syn Tao Green Finance China Social Investment Forum.
The Roundtables will bring together UNEP FI members and sustainable finance practitioners for two days of insights into advances in sustainable finance in 5 regions across the globe. The events will provide insight into key developments such as the benefits of sustainable finance integration in national economies, uptake and implementation of the Principles for Responsible Banking, positive impact measurement and growth, implementing the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, natural capital stress testing, social impact and inclusion as well as cutting edge applications of fintech in green financing.
Building on over two decades of successful Roundtables, these regional events are designed to create rich opportunities for UNEP FI members to connect with one another and to raise awareness of sustainable finance work in progress across banking, investment, and insurance.
The event is part of UN Environment’s 2019 World Environment Day celebrations hosted by China.
