On 17 September 2026 (11:00–13:00 CEST), the ECOWAS Gender Development Centre (EGDC) and UN Women Regional Office for West and Central Africa will host a virtual Community of Practice dialogue on gender, climate change and the green economy.
The dialogue will explore how West Africa can advance a gender-responsive green transition following the COP31 climate change conference and support the localization of the Belém Gender Action Plan (GAP).
Participants will share experiences, identify practical challenges and explore ways to strengthen the meaningful inclusion of women and other groups in climate action and the green transition.
