On 14 February 2024 (15:00-16:30 CET/09:00-10:30 EST), the Climate Investment Funds will host a virtual discussion on Why Women Are Central To Nature-Based Solutions.
The event will examine how to design and implement nature-based solutions (NbS) that consider gender equality and social inclusion, including how to: advance the voices and perspectives of women in climate investments, access to land rights, natural resource management and marine ecosystem management; analyse the gaps and barriers impeding the role of women leaders in nature-based solutions; and capture insights and feedback from the webinar audience on challenges related to integrating gender-transformative approaches in nature-based solutions.
This virtual discussion forms part of CIF’s Nature, People, and Climate Investment Program (NPC) Learning Platform, launched in 2023 in response to requests from several countries for knowledge exchanges on nature-based solutions.
