On 27 October 2022 (14:00 Central America and Mexico) Global Opportunities for SDGs (GO4SDGs) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are organizing the second of the series of workshops on the topic of ‘Green Jobs: training professionals with purpose. A Latin American and Caribbean perspective’, inviting Caribbean stakeholders.
The organisation is done in collaboration with UNEPs Resource Efficiency Unit, the Alianza de Redes Iberoamericanas de Universidades por la Sustentabilidad y el Ambiente (ARIUSA) and the International Labour Organization - ILO. The series of webinars are intended to initiate the discussion on how higher education institutions in the region can contribute to the training of purpose-driven professionals and support the access of graduate youth to green jobs.
Further, they aim to present the UNEP Green Jobs Education Guide as a tool for higher education institutions to incorporate appropriate resources according to the needs and context of the future of their students. The different webinars provide a space for dialogue between university communities, graduate networks and green business employers to map priority sectors, skills gaps and facilitate meetings between actors.
The 5 different workshops are divided by region and take place on the following days:
-
Central America and Mexico Workshop: 28th of September
-
Caribbean Workshop (in English): 27th of October
