On 5 June 2024, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host global celebrations for World Environment Day 2024.
This year’s World Environment Day campaign focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.”
The event also aims to highlight unsustainable patterns of production and consumption that drive the triple planetary crisis: climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste.
