This document emerges from the collaborative exchange of ideas and efforts between the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development and the Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Planning of the Government of Guanajuato. With the support of the Resource Efficiency and Climate Action Initiative program by the German Cooperation for Sustainable Development (GIZ), it aspires to serve as a guiding compass for Guanajuato Circular 2050.
The aim is to establish a robust foundation for developing a shared and consensus-driven vision and strategy. This collective effort is designed to propel the State of Guanajuato toward a circular economy model. Such a model not only enhances the quality of life for the people of Guanajuato but also prioritizes the care and regeneration of their ecosystems. In doing so, it opens up new avenues for sustainable growth and development.
