The UAE State of Green Economy Report 2016 outlines the country's movement towards a Green Economy, which is defined by the United Nations Environment (UNEP) as “one that results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities”. The report aims to provide the public with a clear overview of the government’s plan and diverse public and private efforts, as well as a benchmarking of the country’s current standing.
This report consists of 7 chapters: 1) Global Perspectives on an Inclusive Green Economy, 2) The UAE Green Agenda and 2015 Progress, 3) UAE's Ten Innovations for Enabling a Green Economy, 4) Activities Defined by Green Agenda Committees, 5) Green Economy Initiatives from the Seven Emirates, 6) State of Green Finance in the UAE, 7) UAE's Performance towards a Green Economy.
The reporting period of this second edition is from 1 January 2015 until 31 December 2015.
