Armenia: EU to discuss development of green growth indicators

Other News

The methodology for green growth measurement, development of green growth indicators and their integration into the government's agenda will be discussed during a workshop in the Armenian capital Yerevan tomorrow. The event is organised in the framework of the EU-funded Greening Economies in the European Union's Eastern Neighbourhood (EaP GREEN) programme that assists the EaP countries with the development of green growth indicators.

The green growth indicators are a key tool for decision-makers and the wider public for measuring the progress towards green growth, analysing the sources of green growth and assessing green growth policies, the EaP GREEN press release said.

The Green Growth Measurement workshop is organised jointly by the Organisation for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD), which implements the EU programme, as well as the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The EaP GREEN project, implemented by the OECD, UNECE, UNEP, and UNIDO, supports Eastern Partnership countries in their efforts to move towards a green economy by decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation and resource depletion and by promoting sustainable consumption and production strategies.
